Cleanliness and comfort of the room coupled with excellent location
Nothing. I have already booked a further stay in May 2011.
Great few days at Lancaster Gate. Excellent location, easy access to transport and Hyde Park. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Would definitely recommend and hope to return some day.
Good location, near to shops, tube. Nice building good area.
Rooms advertised as spacious. Mine was just about big enough for 2 people and not much else. Had to open the door to the corridor to turn around!!!
We could not pay a taxi because he did not receive cards no body in the reception would help they could have the money from the hotel bill or the day after.
room was a little cold at night. thicker quilt required in winter months Price of breakfast was off putting.
Smart, clean and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. We had a comfortable room albeit not large (London size!!!) We would stay there again.
The bar prices were over the top. The location was a bit far out but we knew that before we booked - can't have central London location without central London prices.
Great location - close to Hyde Park & easy access to Kensington & Oxford Street.
Rennovation work outside a problem - hopefully short lived - some rooms need refreshing - single room cramped.
The room is too small, I stayed before in this hotel and the room was amazing but I saw three rooms which are completely different from the one I tried before. It is expensive, you have to pay for the breakfast, internet and even one pound for a bag if you would like to put it downstairs in the sotre.
I have stayed at this location before and found it to be convenient and well priced. I would stay here again. You should introduce a loyalty programme for frequent customers.
Had a twin room at the front of hotel overlooking Lancaster Gate. The room was clean and quiet and provided all the basics required. The discounted price I paid for the room offered very good value, but if I had paid the full price would have not flt it offered very good value. Staff were friendly.
Room and en suite were small although ok for our 1 night stay would have been small for a longer stay. Breakfast buffet offered a reasonable selection of both hot and cold food, but plates for the hot option were cold as were some of the hot options.
The location was ideal for our purpose-that is to visit family.apart from that it's close to the West End too. Staff were friendly and efficient on arrival and were inobtrusive after that which suits us pretty well.Would definitely reccommend it to others travelling to London!
There was nothing we disliked about the hotel-just one very small quibble! Please leave a few more tea bags in the room!
It was easy to get into London and not too busy or noisy. It was close to attractions and near to the Hyde Park.
The dining room was not air conditioned and the weather was very hot when we arrived.
Location was convenient and breakfast was very good.
Staff were a bt indifferent. One lift was out of order. Fire alarm went off at 7 am - no explanation.
Staff was helpful and offered good info. The location near 3 subway stops was good. Breakfast was convenient and the room was clean and well appointed. A blow dryer would have been a nice amenity to have. Good pressure and hot water.
I found that the room looked a little tired. Needs a makeover. New curtains would have been nice especially since I was on the rear of the building and there was construction. Even without the construction, new curtains/ blindsvwould be a good investment. Room would also benefit from better lighting. Too dim.
Nice location by Hyde park
I didn't like the impersonal surly staff. I felt the hotel was cost cutting at every point. I really objected to paying a fortune for the Internet, it felt like extortion, it's cost was fourteen pounds for twenty hours, no other options available. The breakfast was mediocre and the service in the bar and restaurants was sub standard. Staff seemed bored and uninterested. The rooms were very small. Compared to the other hotels I stayed in for the same money in London I felt in was overall very poor.
